FLORIDA KEYS ON THE 4TH OF JULY

One of the busier holidays in the Florida Keys is the 4th of July.  Why?  Beautiful water, warm weather and plenty of fireworks.  Yup, if you are in the Keys for the 4th consider yourself lucky.  Well what can you do ?  Here is a little bit of what's going on.

THE KEY LARGO "AMERICAN HEROES" PARADE

This parade is a Key's Classic.  The parade starts at 10am at MM 98 and ends at Waldorf Plaza MM 100.  

KEY LARGO PICNIC

Community style picnic from 5pm to 8pm at the Murray Neslon Government and Cultural Center MM 102.

KEY LARGO BLACKWATER SOUND SPECTACULAR FIREWORKS

This amazing Firework show starts at 10pm over Blackwater Sound bayside MM 104.

SPIRIT OF ISLAMORADA JULY 4TH FIREWORKS

We move down to MM 87 at Founders Park on Platation Key.  The event runs from 6-9:30 and then is followed by fireworks.

MARATHON JULY 4TH PARADE, BEACH PARTY & FIREWORKS SHOW

The parade starts at 10:30 and goes from Marathon High School to Sombrero Beach.  What follows is an all day celebration that is capped off with fireworks.

BIG PINE AND THE LOWER KEYS JULY 4TH FIREWORKS

The action takes place at Big Pine Park MM 30.  Live music, food, drinks and games begin at 5pm.  Fireworks start around 9pm. 

KEY WEST FIREWORKS

Key West fireworks fire off of White Street Pier.  You can see the fireworks from land or by sea.
