Porco Rosso Limited Edition Spring Drive is simply one of the finest watches in Japanese mechanical watchmaking. This watch is part of the dress watch collection that pays tribute to Japanese style and and craftsmanship, the Presage Collection. The SNR047 is a celebration of the work of master animator, Hayao Miyazaki. The master animator made his mark with the world-renowned Studio Ghibli. The Presage collection broadens its scope to encompass contemporary Japanese art with this Limited Edition timepiece based on the classic character of Porco Rosso, a 1920s aviator and pig, dedicated to protecting the skies over the Adriatic. This watch is extremely limited, with only in a single run of 500.
FEATURES
This unique timepiece includes a caseback engraved with the serial number as well as the image of the daring Porco Rosso and his motto 'A pig that does not fly is just a pig,' in Italian, with the name of his plane, Savoia S-21 on the case side. The red, white and green Italian colors appear on the white enamel dial, and as contrast stitching on the red crocodile strap. The SNR047 is powered by the incredible Seiko Spring Drive movement, combining a 30-jewel automatic movement with a quartz regulator for accuracy to +/- 1 second per day, +/- 15 seconds per month. Another great feature of the watch is the long power reserve the watch has. It has a power reserve of approximately 72 hours, the movement can be wound manually or automatically. So, the watch can be wound or hacked. The dial includes a power reserve indicator that tells you how many hours you have left in reserve and date calendar at the 3 o'clock position. The watch case features a dual-curved sapphire crystal with super-clear coating. Crafted of stainless steel with super-hard coating, screwdown see-through caseback. Besides all of that the watch also features an additional black crocodile strap and tri-fold push button release clasp. The watch is 10 bar, 100M, or 330ft Water Resistant.
