What Does Valentine's Day Mean To You?
Ah, Valentine's Day. The day where we get to show our significant others how much they mean to us. To unwind, and give in to your romanticism for a small break in your every day life to really appreciate your other half.
Or for me, a night away from the kids and relaxing night with my wife for once!
Valentine's Day is something special to all of us with loved ones, and we all have our unique way of expressing and celebrating this beautiful day, and so I went around the office and asked my family what they thought of the holiday, and what it meant to them.
The answers were surprising as they were sweet.
Valentine's Day According to:
I asked my co-worker and cousin, Bobby. He explained that it was his opportunity to give his loved one the best day he can, by giving her lavish gifts, and generally spoiling her. He appreciates her and the best way he thinks to show her that is by treating her like royalty for the day, because he feels like she treats him like a king every day.
I asked a close friend, and his answer was "Deadpool"
I asked my uncle, and he told me how there shouldn't be a specific day for showing the one you love appreciation. Every day should be a day to appreciate your significant other. No matter how you do it.
I went to another co-worker, and she just huffed and told me that Valentine's Day isn't special, and that she doesn't celebrate it... Guess we found the Valentine's Grinch.
To Each Their Own
This day, like most holidays, has such a polarizing effect on people. Everyone sees it differently, and everyone celebrates it differently. But Valentine's Day is special. It's a day to highlight your appreciation.
