Turtle Time

Ever since Seiko re-released the Seiko Turtle, it has been an exciting time in Seiko watches.  2019's release of the SRPD21 shows that we are all about the Turtle watch.  The wave design with the bright blue colors show how just a few minor adjustments can create new life into a classic.

The SRPD21 Seiko Save the Ocean

The save the ocean SRPD21 is known as the shark edition or the great white shark edition.  This is because of the hidden shark fin on the face of the watch.  Save the Ocean is the collection that Seiko came up with in order to help Fabian Cousteau's Ocean Learning Center.

The Movement

The movement is an automatic movement it is a 4R36.  Seiko is a company that likes to produce nearly everything themselves and they make this movement.  The movement is a wind and hack movement.  The power reserve on the SRPD21 is 40 hours.

200 Meters

The Save the Ocean Shark is a 200 M dive watch.  It has been tested and it has a real ISO dive testing standard to 200 meters.  So snorkel the tropics, dive the reefs and swim at your local pool with no worries.

The Seiko SRPD21 Turtle Special Edition Shark

Over all this is a great watch.  This new shark edition makes us yearn for more Seiko dive watches.  They are affordable, fun and dependable.  The turtle has a 45mm case and is sure to catch a lot of attention with that stunning blue.
