The Sumo Seiko Dive watch is a classic. Maybe not as well known as the Turtle or the Tuna, but the Seiko Sumo is a handsome dive watch, with the watch's large numbers on the bezel and the large wide styling of the watch head. The Seiko Sumo has always been a watch that is harder to come by than the before mentioned Seikos. Baselworld 2019 gave us the introduction to a new more feature rich Sumo dive watch.
The new version of the Seiko Sumo watch is fantastic, they kept all the good parts about the watch and just made it even better. The watch now features a sapphire crystal and an improved movement, the enhanced 6R35. The question about this watch is not if you should get one, but if you can find one.
