The S23631 is a remarkable professional dive watch.  With a saturation depth of 1000m it is hard to imagine needing anything more in a dependable dive watch.  The S23631 is a Seiko Tuna, a name lovingly given to the watch by Seiko fans.  The name comes from the shroud that covers the watch.  This shroud is what makes the watch able to go to such depths and be a saturation diver.

This watch is a cool watch that has hardly seen any changes in design since it's conception in 1975.  The S23631 is a quartz watch where the movement was designed to handle great depths.  The good part about a quartz watch is that you don't have to keep setting it after taking it off for a few days like an automatic watch.  The watch is made of select materials like ceramic and titanium.  It also has a sapphire crystal which helps prevent scratches on the crystal.  There is also an anti-glare coating, that helps from getting and reflections when diving.

Let's just get this out into the open, the Seiko Tuna is not for everyone.  It is not elegant in a dress watch sort of way and really that is a good thing.  The Seiko Tuna makes no apologies for what it is, it is a professional dive watch and a tool watch.  This is the type of watch that makes you stand out in a crowd.  It says you love the water and enjoy unique watch design.
