The love for the Willard has been strong this year. While the Willard had a black dial and green dial model come out, these watches didn't have anything to do with the large 55th anniversary. This omission was fixed as of late with the new SPB183. This model has the same case size and styling of the other Willards that came out, but this time with a blue dial. The blue dial is a constant theme with the 55th dive anniversary. The watch comes with a metal band on the watch and has an extra blue rubber strap. This model also features the 70 hour reserve movement which is a great plus if you are tired of having to set your watch often. Overall another home run from Seiko Dive.

The modern 1970 model or the Willard is part of Seiko Dive's 55th anniversary. Perhaps more than all the other watches in the 55th anniversary, the Willard is the most iconic. This SPB183 is a limited edition of 5,500, with the serial number engraved on each caseback. The iconic case design that revolutionized underwater safety with a recessed crown creating a built-in crown guard at 4 o'clock. With contemporary styling and technology, this masterfully updated design, sleeker and slimmer than the original, is crafted of stainless steel with super-hard coating, and includes a curved anti-reflective sapphire crystal, blue one-way rotating elapsed timing bezel, screwdown crown and caseback, and tri-fold push button release clasp with secure lock and extender, as well as an additional blue-gray silicone strap. The rich marine blue dial features a date calendar and LumiBrite hands and markers. Following ISO standards for scuba diving to depths of up to 200 meters, this exceptional watch can be wound manually or automatically and includes a 24-jewel automatic movement with a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. 200m Water Resistant
