Seiko has been quietly be working on something quite remarkable. They have been working with skilled porelain artist Hiroyuki Hashiguchi on developing a porcelain dial. This is extremely difficult because of how thin the watch dial needs to be. This watch is amazing. The dial is quite striking and the photos don't do it any justice.
Japanese craftsmanship Seiko’s traditional watchmaking skills
The new Presage porcelain dials are made by an experienced manufacturer in Arita that has been making porcelain since 1830. Hiroyuki Hashiguchi is the master craftsman and he and his colleagues have been developing the dials with the Presage team over the past few years. This has resulted in the beautiful Presage Porcelain SPB093.
