PUMPKIN SPICE IS HERE

So, in our modern world is it officially fall when all the pumpkin spiced products come out?  The famous pumpkin spiced latte at Starbucks, pumpkin spiced breads and pies are the ones who started it all.  But now we have pumpkin spiced everything from bagels, malt balls to M&M's and Pop tarts.  The before mentioned pumpkin spiced latte even has its own Wikipedia page.  It looks like America is living the Pumpkin Spice Life.

THE PUMPKIN INFILTRATION

Don't get me wrong, I like pumpkin spice.  It is good and it is a nice reminder that it won't be a  100 degrees anymore, so double bonus.  While pumpkin spice is taking over the hearts of America, there is very little pumpkin infiltration when it comes to jewelry.  I believe if the jewelry industry is to survive the pumpkin-appocalypse we need to start working on this now.

 PUMPKIN JEWELRY

It is time to change everything for fall.  We need a new gold color.  Yeah, you've got white, rose and yellow, but how about orange gold?  Let's call that pumpkin spice gold.  Then, you have this little underperforming stone called Citrine.  It is an orangish color, so let's change the name to pumpkin spice stones.  That sounds good doesn't it?  Who wouldn't want a pumpkin spiced stone?  So much better than the name citrine.  Dear American Gem Society, Gemological Institute of America and Jewelers of America, don't worry about trying to market the citrine anymore our problems are solved.   So, if you hear about some pumpkin spice jewelry, you know where you heard it first.
