The Oris Clipperton Limited Edition

If only more companies were like Oris.  Year after year Oris tries to make the world a better place and the latest environment that Oris is helping is Clipperton Island with the Oris Clipperton Limited Editon Aquis dive watch.  Where is Clipperton Island and why is it so important?  Clipperton Island is really an atoll.  It is located in the Pacific, 671 miles away from Mexico.  It has been named the most remote atoll in the world.  Clipperton is important because it is home to many palegic fish and sharks.

The Limited Edition

Oris makes these watches so a portion of the proceeds can help protect Clipperton Island.  Oris has made this a habit, creating limited edition watches that help save our underwater world.  Previous watches include the Florida Keys' Staghorn Coral Reef Restoration and the Hammerhead.  The Clipperton is a limited edtion of 2,000 watches worldwide.

Taking Care of Our Environment

We need to take care of our environment if we want to enjoy it.  Oris, perhaps more than most of us, undstands this the best.  If we have no reefs, no fish or marine animals what is the point of diving?  We need to preserve this so we can enjoy it and future generations can enjoy it.

The Clipperton Dive Watch

The most striking feature of this watch is the vibrant blue gradiant on the face.  This is designed to resemble the blue gradiant of Clipperton Atoll.  This watch is instantly recognizable because of the beautiful blue face, and will be sought after for years after it is sold out.  The watch itself features a carefully struck back plate that showcases Clipperton and the longetude and latitude.  This is the perfect watch for those who want to make a difference.

The Watch Box

Oris created a special watch box that is made from algae.  The algae box was launched with the Staghorn model, so it is great that Oris is continuing to develop and use this great alternative to plastic.

The Aquis Dive Watch

The Aquis design is a classic dive design that instantly tells you it is an Oris watch.  The watch is a professional dive watch with a relatively slim design for a dive watch.  The Aquis is perhaps one of the most comfortable dive watches to wear.  What makes the Aquis Clipperton awesome?  First you have a sapphire crystal.  That means that the crystal is scratch resistant.  The rotating bezel is ceramic.  That means it will stay on and be dependable, unlike metal printed bezels that often fall out of watches.  The watch, like all Oris watches is a mechanical watch made in Switzerland.  The watch itself is 43mm a great size, not too big and overpowering and not to small.  The Limited Edition Clipperton comes with two different band styles.  You can choose the metal bracelet or the black rubber band.
