Sand Dollar
Sand Dollars are actually flat, burrowing sea urchins. The Sand Dollar symbol that we are familiar with is actually the skeleton, or test, of the animal, that is dried and bleached by the sun when it washes up on the beach. Sand Dollars have been said to be the ancient coins of long-lost Atlanteans, or of mysterious mermaids found deep below the ocean's surface. Sand Dollars represent going with the flow, or for some, the birth and death of Jesus Christ.
