Misty Copeland Principal Dancer

Who's Misty Copeland?  She is a ballet dancer.  That's not saying enough, though.  She's so much more.  She's a powerhouse.  After finding much adversity, Misty has worked her way into becoming the Principal Dancer for the American Ballet Theater. Misty is the first African American woman to do so.  She battled stereotypes and severe injury.  She has a New York Times Best Seller book, Life in Motion: An Unlikely Ballerina.  Not to mention her hit documentary, A Ballerina's Tale.  Her book and documentary both tell her remarkable story.  Misty has become a symbol of strength, grace and determination.

Misty Copeland gets Married

This past weekend - July 31, 2016 - Misty got married to her boyfriend of ten years, Olu Evans.  The ceremony took place in Laguna Beach, California.  The principal dancer makes her living dressing up in extravagant dresses and performing for her legions of fans.  Mrs. Copeland wanted a change for her wedding - she wanted a small intimate wedding.  Misty wore a stunning Inbal Dror gown for her wedding dress and shoes by Christian Louboutin.

Misty's amazing story and popularity helped her become the brand ambassador to Under Armour Clothing and Seiko watches.  Misty became a brand ambassador to Seiko USA in March 2015.  She appears in commercials and print ads for Seiko.
