A legend was born: SLA017 In 1965, Seiko debuted a diver's watch that was the first to be quite water-resistant (150m) due to an automatic mechanical caliber. This watch, also designed for reliability in harsh conditions, was worn by the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition and passed with flying colors.
